"What kind of photos do I need to send for my Portrait?"
The better quality photo you send me, the better your portrait will turn out! Here are some quick tips to help if you’re not sure what to look for in a great photo!
Natural Lighting. Outdoor photos are often best, although indoors in front of a window can also work well! Avoid sending dimly lit or flash photos.
Face-On. Most clients prefer a full-on view of their pet. Pro tip: make sure both eyes are showing!
Get down on their level. Even though it’s easier to take photos while standing, the best portraits are taken on the pet’s eye level.
Fill the camera frame. Photos taken from far away often don’t have enough resolution for me to zoom in for the detailing!
Be patient! Snapping the perfect photo of your pet takes time!
Finally, I realize that in some cases you may be limited in the number of photos you have access to, as in pets that have passed away. If you have any questions regarding the portrait quality I’ll be able to get from a specific photo, don’t hesitate to ask me!
